How to measure your hat size

Please note this is a general guide as different head shapes may also affect your hat size and it can also depend on where the hat sits on your head and the style of the hat too.

If a hat is too small, it will sit too high up on your head so if you are in-between sizes, it's generally best to go up a size and add some hat padding. Some hats have a sweatband that you can place padding under to help it fit a bit tighter.

After losing my hide bush hat after 25years I needed a new one to keep up my persona.

So I purchased a Bush Explorer which is near enough to what the original one was apart that it was new and needs some years of wear to add to our characters.

Otherwise a good choice and a fair price.

The quality of the hat is excellent and is comfortable, it was well packaged and I will have no hesitation in recommending or using this company again. The only thing I found that would be nice is an email to say the item has been despatched.

Although I work in a camping store, I saw this hat and wanted it immediately. I was waiting with bated breath for it to be delivered (which it was, on time and in time for a holiday). I even sent an email after the purchase asking to change size and that wasn't a poblem either.

Well, the fit is perfect. It looks amazing, feels fantastic and smells out if this world. It's exactly what I've been wanting for many years to protect my shaved bonce.

I'm so looking forward to seeing how it ages, it already has an antiquated look to it and I firmly belive that's only going to improve with age.

I've not been out in anything other than very light drizzle in it yet, so the 5th ☆ will come when I know it can withstand heavier rain.

The one thing I do know is that Cotswold Country Hats is a company I look forward to dealing with again and their customer service is some of the best I've ever encountered.
